The Foxe and the Hound by R.S. Grey

5 Stars

Madeleine Thatcher is a charming and funny… mess. With her fledgling career as a real estate agent and her newly adopted giant dog, she is working at finding her way in life.

Dr. Adam Foxe has recently relocated to Hamilton, Texas where he is not only the small towns newest veterinarian, but also an interesting addition to their single male population.

When Madeleine and Adam have an awkward first meeting, and each subsequent meeting doesn’t get much better… they can’t quite decide their feelings about one another. But, what they can’t deny is their attraction, whether or not it’s a convenient time, or a business conflict of interest… their quiet lives in small town Texas may never be the same again…

I freaking loved this book. Ok, disclaimer here… I’ve never read a R.S. Grey book I didn’t love… and this one did not disappoint.

Madeleine Thatcher is adorable, hilarious, and just plain awkward. (Thatcher… that’s right, she is the little sister of Lucas and BFF to Daisy whose book is ‘Anything You Can Do’!!!) She is trying hard to be a nice well rounded adult… she wants to pay her bills, and have a boyfriend, and have a dog who doesn’t maul innocent people… unfortunately she isn’t very successful at any of it!

Dr. Adam Foxe has recently moved from Chicago, wanting to be closer to his family… and to leave his previous life that had fallen apart. He’s not ready for a relationship, and although attracted to Madeleine he does everything he can to fight the pull he has to her.

Madeleine and Adam are super cute. The situations the find themselves in are absolutely hilarious. I loved all of the supporting characters, Adam’s Mom is just the best. AND we get a continuation of Lucas and Daisy’s story! This book was so well written, I simply couldn’t put it down.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

This book is a complete standalone, but I mentioned Madeleine’s brothers story… so be sure to check that one out too!!
