Battle of the Sexes by Adriana Locke

4.5 Stars

Carver Jones, President of Jones + Gallum is ready to take on the position of CEO for the company his father co-founded. Unfortunately, he hadn’t realized the position he had been preparing for was not a sure thing.

Amity Gallum has spent years away from New York, learning the family business in a completely different atmosphere from inside the office walls of Jones + Gallum. Some would say she has the fresh perspective the company needs to move forward to it’s future. Beating Carver out for the CEO position isn’t going to be easy, but she is going to enjoy every minute of going up against him to do it.

While these two childhood friends work against each other for the CEO position, will the close quarters and mutual interest in Jones + Gallum’s success lead to more?

I really enjoyed this novella! While it was short and direct, I didn’t feel like I lost any depth of the characters, or that the storyline was lacking at all. The writing was fantastic, the subject interesting and I love that Carver and Amity have a shared past that may not be what they had both realized.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
