Riley Porter has been welcomed into the Phoenix pack after seeking sanctuary for her and her two young charges there. While things started out a little rocky with the packs Head Enforcer, Tao Lukas, they have finally started to get along together… in bed…
When Riley decides to return to her former flock for a visit and the past she left behind starts to turn into a new danger. But she, Tao and the rest of her honorary pack are ready to take on the unknown threat…
I loved Riley’s personality, she is hilarious and doesn’t let Tao get away with much. Tao is very honest about not wanting to mate, but when he and Riley finally connect, he isn’t stubborn about the bond they start to share.
This was a good read. As book number six in the Phoenix Pack series, Tao and Riley’s story was focused on a new threat from the previous books and we were introduced to some new characters. I loved seeing our old favorites from the previous books and all of the returning characters with their crazy personality quirks.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
