Carter Kelso has decided that he isn’t willing to live his life without Ashley Kingston in it any longer. Now he just has to convince Ashley that he deserves a second chance. With their shared past, family issues and a whole island of residents filled with strong opinions, he may be in for a harder time than he thought.
While I enjoyed this book, I felt like it shouldn’t have been marketed as a standalone. This was the first in the series that I have read and I felt like I was missing a large portion of the story, and if anything significant about the characters or their previous antics was mentioned, it was very vague.
The book was written in the viewpoint of Carter who was hilarious and adorable with his goats. I didn’t really like Ashley’s character that much, maybe because I didn’t feel much of a connection between the two, but Carter was more than capable of carrying the story.
Daisy Prescott is a fantastic writer, and while I didn’t love this book, I enjoyed reading it nonetheless. With a hilarious lead character, witty banter and an ending that I really enjoyed, if you have read the rest of the Wingmen Series, you will definitely want to delve into this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
