Bad Boss by Stella Rhys

4.5 Stars

Sara Hanna has been stagnant in her career at June Magazine, doing everyone else’s work and getting zero recognition. Not only does she decide to quit (and burn some major bridges in the process) she also decides that the evening calls for being her to be reckless Sara just this once before she has to go back to being stable Sara.

Julian Hoult is a workaholic, and his latest clients are impossible to work with. Conveniently, he runs into a captivating woman who may be just the thing he needs to keep his clients on track… and she’s also someone he hasn’t been able to get out of his mind…

This was an enjoyable read! I loved Sara and Julian’s red hot and instant attraction to one another, and the sex scenes were steaming. While Julian is a workaholic and kind of a jerk, he is infatuated with Sara from the moment they meet, and just can’t stop himself from thinking about her. He has some sad things that happened in his past, that are not an excuse for the way he is, but seem to be something he has moved on from in a healthy way. Sara is kind of a workaholic herself. She is strong and confident, but has a dark and troubled past that she fights to keep from affecting her.

I loved the supporting characters, Sara and Julians friends and family were fun, and extremely close with each other. The storyline was interesting and flowed well and I was entertained completely throughout this entire book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
