Beard in Mind (Winston Brothers #4) by Penny Reid

 5 Stars

Beau Winston is a nice guy who never has an issue with anyone… except their newest hire at the body shop, Shelly. She is rude and rubs him the entirely wrong way… but then why can’t he stop thinking about her?

Shelly Sullivan is working at facing her issues head on. Moving to Tennessee, getting a job at an auto shop… and seeing a therapist. Her attraction to Beau is inconvenient and makes her feel things she never has before… but why would someone like him ever want someone like her?

Oh. My. Goodness. This book was fantastic. Beau is that sweet easy going Winston brother you have seen in the series previously, but he has finally met the one person guaranteed to push his buttons. Shelly is this hard to get along with enigma who at face value seems like an awful person… but man there is so many layers you get to delve into in this story.

As a part of the Winston Brothers series, this book added so much to the family dynamic and we get to see SO MANY of our favorite past characters. Not only the Winston’s and their significant others but also… Quinn Sullivan, Janie and their baby!!! Seriously, the scenes where we get to see Quinn and Shelly interact are so heartwarming, and I loved every deep and real part of them.

I just love Penny Reid. I always come away from a book she writes feeling completely knowledgable about whatever new subject the book focuses on! She always stays true to her ‘smart romance’ style and writes such interesting characters and stories that are simply fascinating.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
