Rock Me (Jaded Ivory #1) by Rebecca Brooke

3.5 Stars

Mari is the lead singer for the band Jaded Ivory, which is on the precipice of their big break. She has overcome a lot of self confidence issues that developed in high school and has finally accepted herself for who she is.

Cole is enamored when he watches Mari up on the stage… but is shot down immediately when he approaches her. But he won’t give up that easily… until she rocks him with the girl she used to be…

I enjoyed this book. Mari had really been through a lot of bullying in her high school years, and moved past it to become such a strong and confident person. Cole looks back on his high school years with regret and does everything he can as an adult to right the wrongs he committed when he was younger.

This story was all about redemption. The characters all not only learn to forgive for what happened in the past, but allow something great to grow because of it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
