The Other Brother by Meghan Quinn

4 Stars

Amelia Santos decides to return to her hometown to be closer to her ailing father, and has to have a long distance relationship with her boyfriend in the process. She thinks she is ready to face her memories she left behind three years ago, but what she isn’t ready for her is her neighbor to be the one memory that can still hurt her…

Aaron Walters can’t believe his luck. The love of his life, whom no other woman has ever been able to compare, is back… and living next door to him. He regrets how they ended, and he sees her proximity as a solid chance for him to convince her they should get back together… if not for her boyfriend in the city.

But when Aaron realizes that Amelia’s relationship may be more of a hurdle than he was expecting, his need to win her back is more important to him than ever…

This was a good read! We get to see how Amelia and Aaron fell in love through flashbacks of their memories. Amelia is very torn throughout the book as she has a boyfriend who she loves, but when she sees Aaron again, her old feelings come roaring back. She isn’t a cheater, and she refuses to treat her boyfriend badly when he has been there for her. Aaron has some deep issues stemming from his childhood, and his biggest mistake is not giving Amelia enough insight into his issues he struggles to deal with at times.

This was a sweet, slow burn, second chance romance with a twist that keeps you anticipating for when the whole truth will come out…

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Wordsmith Publicity for my honest and unbiased review.
