Jewels Rogers meets Tyson and she is instantly turned off. He checks out their waitress and says lame things. After one double date she has had enough.
Tyson Bennett’s date with Jewels didn’t go how he expected it to. After a second chance he decides a little blackmail will get him what he wants…
Add in family obligations and a secret society and the two of them are in for a bumpy ride…
This was a highly frustrating read for me. With a premise that was interesting and the fact that I enjoyed book one, I was excited for this book. Unfortunately there were some major issues that made this book only a two star read.
I would say the biggest issue was there were so many unexplained and confusing parts to this book that just didn’t seem to fit. The result was too many loose ends and a story that simply didn’t engage me. The attraction between Jewels and Tyson seemed a little forced and weird. Lastly, Jewels’ male interests were named Trevor and Tyson… I seriously barely knew which was which half the time… those names are way too close.
This one was a miss for me, and I am very disappointed in the fact that it was.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
