The Bachelor Contract (The Bachelors of Arizona #3)

4 Stars

Brant Wellington has been living life in a drunken stupor since he walked out on the love of his life. Filling the void with woman and a playboy lifestyle, he knows he will never be happy again… and nothing will stop his self destruction.

Nikki lost everything when Brant left her. To add insult to injury, the accident where she lost her vision was the catalyst which drove them apart. Nikki not only lost her husband, but the one person she could rely on in one swoop…

One bachelor auction later, Nikki and Brant realize that they may never be able to let the other go, but life must go on without them… until a certain calculating grandma and grandpa duo start their manipulations once again…

This was a great read! Nikki is a strong woman who has been living the past 4 years blind and completely on her own. With one fantastic friend and co-workers whom she loves, she is content with the life she has built herself… but something will always be missing. Brant made the biggest mistakes of his life when it came to Nikki, and he spends his life drinking and having sex with random women all in the pursuit of forgetting his past.

This book was a second chance romance, and the finale to the Bachelors of Arizona series. This story dealt with some hard situations people deal with in life, and the cold reality of what happens when it all gets to be too much. Featuring two people who have grown emotionally and have realized the love they are missing, all wrapped up in Rachel Van Dyken’s signature brand of humor and a close knit family of characters.
