The British Knight by Louise Bay

4 Stars

Violet King has hit a rut with her life in NYC. Fired from her most recent waitressing job, when a friend offers her a chance to live in London for a few months she jumps at the chance. New adventures, new men, and a break from the monotony of her underachieving lifestyle.

When she meets Alexander Knightley as her new boss, his gruff attitude immediately rubs her the wrong way. But where others let Alex get away with being short and surly, Violet isn’t going to roll over so easily.

When business starts leading into pleasure, can these two keep it professional, or will an office romance end Violet’s new outlook on life…

I really enjoyed this book! The description and setting of chambers, the barristers and the Inns of Court were so vividly portrayed, I was fascinated with it all immensely.

Violet has been really burned by an old college boyfriend. Closing herself off after that failure and betrayal, she has been living her life underachieving and purposefully avoiding entanglements. Alexander is a workaholic to the core. Following in his Father’s footsteps, he has a lot to prove to his colleagues… and himself.

Violet and Alexander have an explosive and sex driven relationship that you don’t want to miss…

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
