The Hardest Fall by Ella Maise

4.5 Stars

First impressions mean everything, as Zoe Clarke learns the hard way when she meets football playing hottie, Dylan Reed. Determined to avoid him at all costs since “the incident,” she finds it pretty hard to accomplish once he shows up at her apartment…

Dylan is going through a rough time, and it is affecting his training… and his team. When he is offered a new place to stay to help him get his focus back, imagine his surprise when the adorable girl he has been hoping to catch a glimpse of for years is suddenly right under his nose.

Zoe’s life is complicated, and Dylan abhors liars… but in building a new and uncertain friendship, they soon discover that they may have found the deepest connection that they were never looking for…

Zoe is a hilariously quirky character who is dealing with some very secret and sensitive problems. When she and Dylan start spending time together, she has to keep what is going on in her personal life quiet. Despite, not being totally honest with him, they grow close and find themselves leaning on each other more and more. Plus, he always lets her watch him do his morning workout…

Dylan is über focused on football, with his goal of being drafted in the next year, he isn’t going to let anything get in his way. When he starts to spend his free time with Zoe, he realizes quite early on that their attraction is mutual, and he knows that they will do something about it… eventually…

This book was such an adorable and sweet, slow-burn romance! Zoe and Dylan’s relationship is super cute, but also very believable. I loved the fantastic characters and the authentic and completely original story line.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
