Scoring the Quarterback (San Diegan #2) by S.M. Soto

3 Stars

Natalia Baldoni doesn’t have time for socializing like most of her fellow college classmates. Her focus on school and work are more important to her than any party she might miss out on. Unfortunately for her, she attracts the attention of her complete opposite, who seems dead set on getting her to loosen up…

Luke Caldwell is the starring quarterback for his college football team and headed for the NFL. He is used to the constant attention he garners from his fellow classmates, and he loves every second of it. When he meets Natalia he makes it his mission to spend time with her, and although they don’t really get along, an unlikely friendship forms.

But when two friends are insanely attracted to each other, it’s only a matter of time before one of them slips…

I really enjoyed the plot and storyline in this book. The frenemies to lovers was done really well, with a slow burn relationship that made the scenario completely believable. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the characters themselves very likable, and therefore found it hard to really love this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
