Fauxmance (Showmance #2) by L.H. Cosway

4 Stars

Julian Fairchild is enthralled with a woman named Elodie, whom he has never officially met. While enjoying eavesdropping on her weekly coffee dates with a friend, when he finally finds the perfect opportunity to approach her, something about her just doesn’t add up…

Ellen Grant has debilitating social anxiety. She never intended to pretend to be someone she wasn’t, but Elodie has the confidence Ellen never thought she could. Embracing the role of a woman who is everything Ellen can’t be, it isn’t until she meets Julian that she is fully able to come of her shell.

With vast differences in their views of romance, together they will find a friendship and an understanding that will breathe a new life into their ultimately lonely existences. But will the recluse and the escort ever be able to be more than a simple blip in each others lives…

With the always fantastic writing of L.H. Cosway, Fauxmance was a beautiful book about finding an uncommon love in a world filled with people who need to be accepting of those who are different from each other.

Ellen is an interesting woman. Painfully shy and a little reclusive, when she dresses up as Elodie, she finds a confidence within her that she never knew she could possess. When Julian uncovers her secret, she fully expects him to run the other way, but he continually surprises her with his acceptance.

Julian likes his job as an escort. Never having wanted a real relationship with a woman before, falling for Ellen is something he did not see coming. A lover of all things unique and out of the ordinary, he offers to help Ellen by not changing her, but bringing her out of her protective shell and out into the world around her.

I really liked this book, the characters were interesting and delightfully unusual, their romance was sweet and heartfelt, and the love they venture into together has the potential of being completely world changing…

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Wordsmith Publicity for my honest and unbiased review.
