This was such a fun read! I had quite a few laugh out loud moments in this historical tale that featured very modern and fascinating characters.
Chase was not prepared to become the future duke, or the guardian of two young girls. With a feeling of being unworthy of love, he prefers to spend his time with women who only want one thing… and marriage is not it.
Alexandra was raised on a ship, and once she lost her father, she spent her upbringing away at school, and subsequently all alone. Being tasked with teaching two young girls in a very similar situation to her childhood, she has a unique take on how to take care of them.
He is a reluctant duke, she is a woman used to taking care of herself, but when the future of the girls is their focus, the lessons they are all learning together may just irrevocably change their lives…
I loved the characters in this story, with Chase and Alexandra being not your typical historical romance couple, you don’t know what to expect next from them. Sexy and refreshingly funny, this book is definitely a must read!
