Lyla Tolliver has been in love with her brothers friend, Mace since the day she met him. Holding those feelings in as long as she can, she finally works up the nerve to tell him how she feels…
Mason “Mace” Keller has his reasons to avoid becoming involved with Lyla, but when he finds out what not having her in his life is like, all of those reasons don’t seem to matter anymore… to him at least.
When tragedy strikes and Lyla and Mace begin to realize how few chances life may offer them, and how important it is for them to get their lives together, it is only a matter of time before their long friendship changes forever…
I am so freaking sad that Ravage marks the end of the Civil Corruption series. Lyla and Mace’s story is a tearjerker, from the pain of their unrequited love, to the great loss they suffer, I was a blubbering mess for a large portion of this book…
While Lyla has moved on from her feelings for Mace, life has a way of changing your priorities. Trying to pull her life together after a messy relationship, she is dealt another blow she didn’t see coming. And when her old friend and former crush needs her, Lyla is adamant about helping Mace in any way she can.
Mace has been numbing himself with alcohol far too often. And it’s only a matter of time before he reaches rock bottom. But, will his problems be too much for Lyla to handle in the light of her past experiences… or will they finally have a chance at something as perfect as it is genuine…
This was such a good book. Completely heart wrenching, sweet and incredibly sexy, Ravage will pull you in and leave you feeling as emotionally wrung out as the characters within it’s pages.
As this book completes the incredible Civil Corruption series, and gives us one final look at the love stories of our favorite irresistible band members, Ravage is a book you do not want to miss.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
