Crave (The Gibson Boys #3) by Adriana Locke

4 Stars

Hadley Jacobs has decided to once and for all get over Machlan Gibson. Returning home for a visit, her mission is to move on, stay friendly, and then return home and finally start living her life. Machlan free. But, with a history that neither of them can forget, being just friends with the love of your life isn’t going to be as easy as Hadley planned…

This was such a great read. I laughed, I definitely cried, and I fell in love with Hadley and Machlan. Through all of their complicated history and the impossible standards they continue to hold themselves to, something big has got to give for these two to ever find themselves on the same page…

After Hadley had enough of seeing Machlan, but not being able to be with him, she moved away and has spent very little time returning to her home town since. Finding herself unable to commit to another relationship with the shadow of Machlan surrounding her heart, she decides she is getting over him once and for all.

Machlan has loved Hadley forever, but sometimes love just isn’t enough for the person you would protect from anything, even yourself. After the unresolved mistakes in their past, Machlan tries his hardest to keep Hadley at arms length so she can find someone out there worthy of her.

While Hadley and Machlan are both anchored to the past and unable to move on, they both can’t get over their love for each other. But, sometimes the best way to show someone how much they mean to you is to finally let them go…

This book was such a well written and heartfelt read. I was so infatuated with the depth of the characters and their strength and resolve to take care of each other, even when they were are their farthest void in their relationship. Hadley and Machlan may love each other, but loving someone and being able to be with someone are not always one and the same.

This book was heart wrenching at times, beautiful, sincere and downright funny. In the way that life can be a myriad of emotions and circumstances, Crave delivers a story that is all that and more.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
