Crushing on the Cop (Blue Collar Brothers #2) by Piper Rayne

4 Stars

Ever since he was a prize in a bachelor auction, Cristian Bianco has been trying to make good on his date with the woman who won. He knows he should give up, but when his boss keeps asking when he is going to take his daughter out… he finds that he is running out of options…

Vanessa Flanagan wants nothing to do with dating a cop, even for a night. And Cristian is no exception, especially since she is so attracted to him. But, when he proves to her how dedicated he is on keeping his word to fulfill their date, once they finally go out together, she has way more reasons to avoid him… because she finds that she really likes him.

Crushing on the Cop was another entertaining story in the Blue Collar Brothers series! Cristian and Vanessa’s story was a classic tale of opposites attracting, and turning up some major heat in the process!

Vanessa has a past of being very promiscuous with men, and ending up in a relationship is the last thing she is looking for. Focusing on starting her own business, she also has a shady job that her friends are starting to really worry about. After avoiding Cristian for so long, she comes to realize that he may be a man who could change everything… and Vanessa just isn’t ready for that kind of change.

Cristian is the middle Bianco brother who has no problem admitting that he is looking for a woman to settle down and start a family with. Aware of what kind of a task it will be to convince Vanessa to give him a chance, he decides that he isn’t going to let her avoid him any longer.

I really enjoyed the growth that Vanessa exhibits in this book, with her relationship with her father and with her ability to give Cristian a real chance. And Cristian was such an amazing character, a man who cares about his job and his family, but still has enough of himself to give to the woman he knows is meant to be his.

This book was sexy, sweet and completely heart warming, and with it, another dashing Bianco is off the market…

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
