Fall (VIP #3) by Kristen Callihan

4.5 Stars

When Stella Grey meets Jax Blackwood for the first time, she has absolutely no idea who he is.. and she kinda… kisses him. And after that first chance encounter leads to them running into each other constantly, Stella is suddenly very wary of the sexy stranger who loves to rile her up…

Jax has been trying to lay low after the completion of his last tour, but when his new neighbor turns out to be none other than the mysterious girl who kissed him and fled, things are about to start heating up, and getting a lot more… complicated…

This book had me completely hooked from the very first scene! I adored Stella and Jax’s friendship turned can’t-live-without-you love story for the ages…

Stella is a woman who has been on her own for most of her life. Working odd jobs to keep afloat, when she lands a job which has her relocating and subsequently moving in next to Jax, she is very hesitant of finding herself continually in his company. While she has always felt like a plain, overlooked woman, when someone like Jax starts acting like a man who would be interested in her, she is just not buying it. But, with each passing meeting, Stella finds herself with little hope of not falling under the Jax’s spell…

Jax is the irresistible rocker who is equal parts melt-your-lady-bits-sexy and heart wrenchingly damaged. Jax has had some issues in the past, and will alway have to deal with his inner demons, but he has come a long way since he once tried to do the unthinkable. Finding himself inexplicably drawn to Stella, he can’t seem to get enough of her biting comebacks and thirst for adventure, but once he looks deeper, he comes to find a woman who knows exactly how it feels to be completely alone…

Stella and Jax were such a wonderful match up, these two flawed, yet fantastically strong individuals finding each other was a complete treat to witness. From the depth given to the characters that was beautifully layered and stunningly realistic, to the lighter moments that kept the story flowing and entertaining, this book was an outstanding must read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
