Next In Line (Wait With Me #2) by Amy Daws

4 Stars

Maggie Hudson is on a mission to prove herself. After her boyfriend broke up with her because she was too “basic,” she is seeking adventure any way she can find it. First stop… ice fishing?

Sam O’Connor takes immediate notice of the woman in over her head at the bait shop, and invites her where he has never invited anyone… ice fishing with him. There is something about her that he just can’t resist… until he finds out she’s his best friends little sister…

Next In Line was a sexy and fun romp featuring a young woman who is trying to win back her ex, but finds something so much better in the process…

Maggie’s confidence took a large hit when her boyfriend dumped her and made her feel like the most boring person in the world. With every new challenge she attempts, she is slowly gaining a new aspect on life, and at the some time proving to her ex that she is anything but basic. Sam is a complication she didn’t see coming. She is fiercely attracted to him, but his friendship with her brother makes anything happening between them impossible… unless… Sam agrees to a no-strings-attached fling…

Sam has never been interested in having a long term relationship… until he meets Maggie, who is still hung up on her ex. Agreeing to help her in one crazy activity after another, Sam not only wants to keep Maggie safe, but he just can’t get enough of being around her. Anything more would be a total disaster… but something about Maggie has him envisioning a future he never thought he wanted…

This was the entertaining follow up story to Wait With Me, where we meet Miles’ little sister, Maggie and his best friend, Sam. From their comical first meeting in a bait shop, to their easy camaraderie, these two should be an easy, uncomplicated match, but life is never that easy…

Maggie was a little young and naive. With a stubborn streak and her inability to let go of her previous relationship and see what was right in front of her eyes, she was a little trying to read at times.

Sam was an adorable man who loves his family and friends and would do anything to help out someone in need. I loved his ability to be a stand up guy while still being just the right amount of delicious and broody.

With all of the winter activity craziness that Sam and Maggie get in together, this storyline was an entertaining read from the very first chapter. With a slow burning plot and a complicated love triangle, Maggie and Sam have many hurdles standing in the way of their HEA…
