Road-Tripped (Ad Agency #1) by Nicole Archer

4 Stars

Callie Murphy hates just about everything about her job at the ad agency her friend owns. But, with very few employment options, she resolves to get her work done and get out of there as quickly as possible… on a daily basis. Until she receives a special assignment that she can’t refuse and she is stuck on a road trip with the office man-whore…

Walker Rhodes is a nice guy through and through, and there is something about Callie’s immediate dislike for him that rubs him the wrong way. Luckily for them, they have a nice long drive to break the ice… or each other…

Road Tripped was such a hilarious story of two co-workers who want nothing to do with each other. Until all that time spent in close quarters finally gets to them and they embark on a complicated journey into a relationship where they have no idea where it could possibly lead.

Callie has been through a lot recently, and is working to get her life back on track. Bitter and unhappy, she loves to hate on her job, her co-workers, and life in general. The last thing she wants to do is drive across the country with a man who hits on every woman he comes in contact with.

Walker is excited for his road trip assignment, until his companion changes and he is stuck with the dark and angry Callie in the passenger seat. As the visually creative part of the duo, his luck changes when he finds the inspiration he has been missing for a long time in… of all people, Callie. From finding out they are a fantastic team, to finding out they are amazing in bed, what started out as a dreaded assignment turns into the trip of a lifetime…

This was such a fun read! I was absolutely hooked on Callie’s dark personality, with her snarky comments and deep pain, she was a very interesting and complex character. Walker was such a sweet guy, and definitely misunderstood by Callie! Southern and irresistible, it doesn’t take long for his utter likability to win her over.

Funny, super sexy, loaded with drama and their hilarious travel antics, Walker and Callie definitely have a long road before they can find their happily ever after…

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
