The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister by Meghan Quinn

4.5 Stars

Bram Scott has waited a long time to pursue his best friend’s sister. Someone as intelligent, savvy and unforgettable as Julia was worth the wait. With a fail proof plan in hand, all he has to do is join her dating service… and pretend he wants her to set him up with his perfect match. With many business meetings and a million personality quizzes, who wouldn’t fall in love with a man like Bram…

Julia Westin doesn’t believe for one second that Bram Scott is ready to settle down. With an ulterior motive most likely behind his sudden interest in her dating business, it is only a matter of time before he gives up and shows her what he really wants. Until he keeps surprising her with his over-the-top and sweet gestures… with his signature brand of arrogance thrown in…

The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister was a hilariously refreshing and all-around adorable tale of pursuing the woman of your dreams in the most backward and overconfident way possible.

In college, Julia was never a party girl, nor did she want anything to do with all the frat gatherings and popularity contests. With her focus on school and the eventual development of her dating program, she went from nerdy co-ed to successful business woman. Having Bram as an acquaintance was always a comfortable and friendly relationship, but she never thought they would cross paths much after graduation.

Bram has had quite a few successes of his own, but ever since college has felt that there was something ultimately missing from his already incredible life. Seeing Julia again jump starts his desire to find a way to get her to date him once and for all, and approaching her as a matchmaker seems like a brilliant plan, if he does say so himself.

I was flipping infatuated with both Julia and Bram right off of their first first encounter. Bram was the popular, confident guy to Julia’s shy and studious personality. Starting with their mutual love for Rath, Julia’s brother (seriously, for the bromance alone, this book is a must read), Julia and Bram find that they really enjoy each others company. From Bram’s overbearing and yet, incredibly thoughtful personality, to Julia’s self-made success and inability to resist Bram’s charms, their relationship was such an adorable journey.

This book was a completely unexpected and highly entertaining spin on the “dating your best friend’s sister” trope. From the slow burn romance to the scorching attraction, Bram and Julia’s love story was an absolute delight from beginning to end. The characters were ALL fantastic, and I desperately want more from this world ASAP!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
