The Panty Melter was an entertaining and sexy-sweet book with a couple looking for a second chance at love… just not with each other…
Violet is recently divorced and is now on the verge of having an empty nest. Finding happiness at this point in her life isn’t the easiest endeavor, but she is determined to move on to finding her next chapter, whatever that may be. With her inconvenient attraction to Deacon continuously getting in the way of her self-preservation, it takes everything she has to keep him at arms length, and out of her mind.
Deacon isn’t looking for a long term relationship… until he meets Violet. With her refreshing outlook on life and the way that they always have such a great time together, he is going to work his hardest to show her that he is worth taking a chance on… and that not every man is doomed to be like her ex-husband.
I love that this story featured a couple in their 40’s who both have grown children, and are looking for love after divorce. With the added elements of wiser, more level-headed characters, the love story was a soft and sweet journey to HEA… with some definite life-altering issues along the way.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book, it has such a fantastic plot and endearing characters. And while the writing was great, I felt that it needed a little more chemistry or some heightened drama added to prevent the feeling of an ultra-quick resolution at the end.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
