Jennifer Sylvester and Cletus Winston are ready for their happily ever after… if only the rest of the world would just stop intruding! And while their engagement seems to be… pending… something terrible happens to some of the local… chickens?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Engagement and Espionage was a light and entertaining “cozy mystery” featuring my favorite fictional family… The Winstons! Cletus and his adorable fiancée Jenn are facing a few bumps in their relationship, but when bad things start happening to some Green Valley locals, the delightful duo dive headfirst into solving the mystery!
Jenn has been dealing with long, exhausting hours at the bakery, and consoling her suddenly very emotional mother. But all of that pales in regards to her worst problem… not having enough time to spend with her bearded, man candy, Cletus.
Cletus is the most patient and thoughtful when it comes to his fiancée, Jenn. But, even the most understanding of men are bound to get frustrated when they miss the woman they love. But for every lonely moment Cletus spends without his beloved, his plans for their reunion get more and more grandiose…
This was such a delightful read! The continuing relationship between Cletus and Jenn was fresh, sexy and a little bit of slow burn torture! But, if you know anything about Cletus, it is that he doesn’t do anything by halves… so watch out Jenn! Also, I absolutely loved Cletus’ engagement ring dilemma… so original and oh-so-Cletus!
The mystery itself was thought provoking and effortlessly engaging. But, by far my favorite thing about this book (and the continuing series) is revisiting the always delightful and fun, Winston clan!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
