Cheyenne Dempsey has been in love with her brother’s best friend since she discovered what attraction even was. But loving Cole Mitchell in silence for many, many years has never worked in Cheyenne’s favor… until suddenly, it absolutely does…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Make Me Yours was an emotional and sexy, friends to lovers, small town escape! Cheyenne and Cole have lived next to each other and have been great friends, but through it all, Cheyenne has been keeping her lifelong feelings for Cole right where there should be… buried deep within her heart. But Cheyenne soon discovers that her attraction isn’t as one sided as she though it was, and maybe, just maybe, she is about to get everything she always wanted in life… including Cole by her side…
While Cheyenne has loved Cole for years, she has never actually believed he would view her as anything more than his best friend’s little sister. But with her vivid imagination and an accidental text message, Cheyenne suddenly has Cole’s undivided attention… and she can’t quite believe how much her luck in love is about to change course…
Cole thought he was settled in life, until he lost his wife during the birth of their child. Nine years later, the widower is more comfortable devoting his attention to his daughter than he is in finding a replacement for the love of his life… even when he can’t seem to stop fantasizing about the girl next door…
This was a very enjoyable read! The writing was excellent, as I’ve come to expect from Melanie Harlow, and the plot was interesting and engaging… if not a little slow-burning at times. The characters were fresh and authentic, and I was really holding out hope for them to re-enact some of their spicy text conversations…
I adored Cheyenne’s relationship with Cole’s daughter, it was well established without a promise of Cole’s affection, and seemed genuine and pure no matter what obstacles the adults faced in their own relationship. I enjoyed Cheyenne and Cole’s emotional connection from their lifelong friendship, and the point when Cole realizes the effort he needs to exert to keep Cheyenne as a part of his life.
