The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob was a cute story about one hot mess, single mom with way too much on her plate, and the hunky pop star who couldn’t possibly be interested in her… right?! Ingrid and Levi share an attraction that keeps getting interrupted by their crazy, busy lives. But they find that finding a person to share in the mayhem might be the key to all the happiness in the world…

Ingrid is a divorced, former military, single mom of three highly energetic kids. With an ex-husband who never wanted to be home, falling into a relationship with a pop star who will also never be home seems like her worst idea yet. Until Levi worms his way into her heart by actually BEING there for her, and Ingrid is a total goner.

Levi loves his career, but recently, he finds himself missing his family and friends more and more. Meeting Ingrid may put his life into perspective, but unless he makes some changes, he may never find true happiness in what he always thought he wanted.

This book was a quirky and fun, absolutely chaotic mess. Featuring a pet squirrel, three nutso kids, Ingrid, who never gets a break, and the sweet pop star who wants to be there for it all!

I was very entertained by this story, but I did feel like the actual romance between Ingrid and Levi was lacking within the depths of the pandemonium always going on around them. I would have loved more relationship progression and feelings being genuinely found between these two characters.
