While in the midst of a nasty divorce, Mallory Martin finds her very own second chance in the form of a dilapidated house she inherits from her dear Aunt Maggie. But when the house comes with a whole host of problems, an HOA from hell, and a grumpy neighbor, Mallory can’t help but wonder, is she the kind of woman who can handle it all?

Back in the Burbs was a hilarious, sexy, and utterly unputdownable read!! Mallory’s life as she knew it may be in complete shambles, but taking a lesson from her quirky, yet incredibly wise Aunt Maggie, she is prepared to do whatever it takes to start over… this time, only on her own terms.

Mallory was a strong, capable, and intelligent woman who was always kept low by her jerk of a (soon-to-be) ex-husband and her family who always taught her that she shouldn’t rock the boat when it comes to relationships. Her one shining light was her Aunt Maggie, who showed her just the kind of woman she wanted to be, and left her, way too soon.

I loved everything about this book! Mallory’s road to finding herself after her divorce includes her awful ex, a flirty contractor and a surly neighbor who just might be hiding his big, soft heart. The engaging plot, the slow burn romance, and Mallory’s unhappy family dynamic, all seamlessly combine to deliver an engrossing and heartwarming read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
