Paisley Pearce is the resident psychologist for the Florida Fury hockey team, tasked with meeting with every player for a little one-on-one therapy. Although she has been met with a little resistance from a few of her patients, she really loves being able to make a difference… and being up close and personal with professional hockey players doesn’t hurt either…

Maksim Petrov takes his job as enforcer for his team very seriously. And while he knows he may take things a little to far while on the ice… his interest in Paisley has absolutely, nothing to do with any of her mandatory therapy lessons…

The Trouble with #9 was a delightfully sexy, emotional, and fun, sports romance! Paisley and Maksim share a simmering attraction that complicates their lives thoroughly… but with a decision to test out a few dates between them, they soon discover just how good they are together… until real life, or course, intrudes…

Paisley was such a great character! I loved her sense of humor and her secret kinky side (that was hinted at, but not shared much), and her dedication to helping people through her expertise in psychology. Her ability to accept her own relationship shortcomings was a refreshing and so wonderfully honest, as well.

Maksim was incredibly sweet and attentive, yet harbored a few hang-ups when it came to being transparent about his past. I loved the growth that he showed throughout the book, and of course his sexy, large, Russian personality!

The Hockey Hotties series continues to provide entertaining, hot and completely absorbing stories, and I can’t wait to delve into the next one!!
