Chasing Serenity was a sexy, sweet, and incredibly slow burn, opposites attract romance. Chloe and Judge’s first impression of each other leaves a lot to be desired, but when the sparks between them only start to burn hotter and brighter, the inevitably of their combustion is about to leave them, and the people who love them most, absolutely breathless…

This book was a nice solid read with superbly interesting characters and a plot that had so much potential. Chloe loves her family and will do anything for them, and I adored the growth her character found throughout this story. Judge had an interesting family himself, and realizes his own journey within the pages of this book. The connection between them was scorching at times, and very supportive at others, but I did feel like their romance was overshadowed by other elements of the story.

I wish I would have connected more with this story. I enjoyed a lot about it, but I did feel like the best parts of the plot seemed to be glossed over at times. The copious descriptions of outfits and interiors were too much, as well as the details of side characters and their own relationships and issues. When the romance I came for took a back burner to the story being written, I was a little bummed, but in the end, left satisfied with the book as a whole.
