We are once again in New Orleans, starting where Bourbon Sins has ended, with Jett and Colby trying to figure out their relationship. With Jett’s past still holding him back from fully committing, it is up to Goldie to break through his barriers to get him to be the kind of man she needs.
But, the impending deal on Lot 17 is becoming more and more complicated, and Jett needs to either find a way to protect Goldie or to keep his distance to ensure her safety… if it were only that easy…
I still absolutely love Goldie. She is strong, and hilarious, but her insecurities with being with Jett are starting to get to her. Jett is just adorable. He is trying so hard to let Goldie in like he really wants to, and he is kind of turning into a little softy. There is plenty of great sex, a lot more feelings, and a new focus on some outside influences on Jett and Goldie’s relationship.
Whew, book two was good, but ended in a cliffhanger! I am loving this series, and I can’t wait to read more of it… and luckily all the book have been released, so there is no long wait to contend with!
