Temptress (Whiskey Dolls #5) by Jessica Prince

4 Stars

When Sloane Chambers spots her new neighbor, she is immediately fascinated by the gorgeous, muscular and sexy, single dad. But she soon realizes he is a total jerk… luckily he has the most amazing, teenage daughter to make up for his bad attitude…

Silas Bridger is stepping up to parent his daughter, just like he has always wanted to. But convincing his teenager that moving to a new city, starting in a new school, and meeting all new friends is a great idea… might take some (a lot) of time. And the last thing he needs is a distraction in the form of his way too stunning, next door neighbor…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Temptress was a super fun, enemies to lovers, workplace romance! Sloane is the sweetest woman anyone has ever met, but from the first moment she introduced herself to her grumpy new neighbor, she has been overthinking the completely unwarranted disdain he seems to have for her.  Silas doesn’t want to be attracted to his neighbor, so lashing out seems like the best way to keep his distance, but a woman like Sloane is just too impossible to hate…
Sloane is a Whiskey Doll dancer who loves her job, her friends, and the life she has created all on her own, even if she finds herself lonely at times. With a hard upbringing and a mother who has never been there for her, she questions if she is really that hard to love…
Silas is a former military man who sacrificed a lot of his time with his daughter for his military career. But those times have changed, and Silas is going to be a full time dad for the first time in his life… and his teenager is not making it easy on him…
I loved this story so much, and the continuation of the always engaging Whiskey Dolls series! Sloane and Silas didn’t want to admit how much they were attracted to each other, but it was only a matter of time before their chemistry took over! I loved the animosity they shared, and the emotions they invoked, but most of all, I loved both of their relationships with Silas’ daughter. It was sweet and genuine, and brought them even closer together.
