Carrie and Marco are around each other a lot due to their respective friends being engaged. They don’t get along, until they start planning a party together and they realize that they might have let their own emotional hang-ups taint their views on each other. While Carrie is leaving soon and Marco isn’t interested in a relationship, they decide to just have fun with each other until Carrie leaves and they will go their separate ways.

This is a nice story, with some great characters, but the writing fell a little short for me. Carrie and Marco both let their past experiences completely dull their lives to the point where nothing will seem to break through the past that they just won’t move away from.
