Holland Bakker has a small obsession with a busker who plays at her subway stop. Sure, he’s gorgeous, but what draws her most is his talent and his music. So when the production she works for, and her beloved uncle is looking for a new musical talent, she convinces him he needs to hear what she has been obsessing over.

When Calvin McLoughlin blows everyone else in the production away, but then he imparts some very bad news… he is in the US illegally… and has been for awhile.

Holland would do anything for her uncles, and there is just something about Calvin and his musical talent… and she can’t let him miss the opportunity of a lifetime…

This was an exceptional read! Holland is a little lost about what she should be doing with her life. Where she goes above and beyond for those she loves, and for Calvin who has so much potential, she just can’t get to that place within herself. Offering to marry Calvin wasn’t completely selfless, she has been infatuated with him for awhile, he’s fun, he’s gorgeous… and then there’s that Irish accent…

This book was a fantastic slow burn romance. The characters were likable and genuine, and I adored the sexy and sweet relationship between Holland and Calvin.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

  1. Fantastic review!!! I still have to write mine, but I really enjoyed it. I thought the second drama at the end was unnecessary but I adored the characters and that it played in broadway. And it was truly fantastically researched. 👍🏼
