Nova has been on her own for a very long time. Living in the wasteland that the Earth has become, she has always done what she can to just simply survive. Hearing of some visitors whom she plans to see for herself, her curiosity ends up landing her in a tough position…

Kol is the commander of a ship and crew whose mission to rescue human females just turned extremely interesting. Upon meeting Nova, she may be scared and confused, but she also refuses to be intimidated by Kol and his alpha attitude… and he likes that… a lot.

I really enjoyed this book! Nova is a strong, yet vulnerable character. I liked that she just didn’t accept what she was told, and she fought for what she thought was right. Kol was alpha-hot, sweet and so enthralled with Nova. In fact, I loved the entire Maji approach to females and their relationships… adorable.

I am not a huge Sci-Fi reader, but the blurb and the fact that this book was written by L.A. Casey had me taking a chance with it. The imagery and attention to detail that we see with the different planets, technology and what has become of Earth is completely captivating.

As the first book in a planned series, I am looking forward to what comes next for the Maji and their humans. This book was well written, interesting and a great read for any romance fans… don’t let the Sci-Fi label pigeonhole you… it is fantastic.
