Maisie Wilkins can’t help it that she is a happy and overly optimistic individual… nor does she want to. Until she does the unthinkable and approaches the office grouch at their annual holiday party… and all of a sudden, Maisie is rethinking her need to make other people happy… and about a whole lot about other needs she may have as well…

Cameron Grant is a man who cares little about what other people think. But after his encounter with Maisie, he finds himself caring a whole lot about his perpetually happy office mate, and the way that she can turn his most foul of moods into a happy moment…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy-Go-Lucky was a delightfully sweet office romance featuring a sexy holiday party mishap between the happy (sometimes walked-all-over) Maisie and her utterly adorable, yet prickly co-worker, Cameron. From the intriguing antics of these private investigators to the slow burn romance between Maisie and Cameron, this book was a entertaining and supremely enjoyable read.
Maisie is a people pleaser. From bringing weekly doughnuts for her office mates, to doing favors she will never see reciprocated, she enjoys going out of her way to make people happy. But one conversation with the observant and overly blunt Cameron, has Maisie rethinking her stance of sometimes being a little too nice.
Cameron may be a grump, but he makes it quite clear how much he enjoys the presence of Maisie and her goof ball ways. Office politics and water cooler gossip serve no interest to Cameron… but he would never turn down a little fun in the copy room with the intriguing Maisie…
This was such a fun read! Maisie and Cameron’s story was a slow burn romance with a few relationship hiccups along the way, and all kinds of mysteries to be solved by these two brilliant private investigators. I loved both Maisie and Cameron’s characters, with their little awkward moments and rampant sexual tension, every scene they shared together was better than the last!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
