My Bestie’s Ex was the fabulous introduction to the brand new and already entertaining Rooftop Crew series. Blanca and Ethan share an instant connection, but struggle in the early days of their budding relationship… and when they discover that Blanca’s BFF is none other than Ethan’s ex-girlfriend… nothing will ever be the same again…
Blanca is ready for a new chapter in her life, away from a job she hates, and out from behind the shadows of her highly successful brothers. Scoring a job at a Cliffton Heights magazine and writing her own column is her dream come true… even if she has to deal with a surly co-worker to make it happen…
It has been a long time since Ethan wanted to pursue a relationship, but he meets Blanca on the train and immediately decides she is worth the gamble. But that all comes to a screeching halt the second he realizes that Blanca is his newest co-worker, and is completely off limits… or so he tries to make himself believe…
Office romance aside, Blanca and Ethan start fall for each other… and then things go from murky to completely impossible…
This was such a great read! Blanca was an admirable character who unfailingly cares about her family and friends, whether they deserve it or not. And I was so excited that the female Mancini finally got a story of her own!
Ethan is fairly closed off due to being ashamed of his family and that seems to project problems into his everyday life. Taking a chance on dating Blanca when they work together is a huge deal for him, but there is something about her that makes the risk worth taking. And when the rug is pulled out from under them in the form of his ex-girlfriend, Ethan will find that his hot and cold ways need to change if he wants to prove to Blanca just how much they belong together.
I am so excited for more from The Rooftop Crew series!! This book introduced some fantastic characters who already have some romance brewing of their own! Blanca and Ethan’s story has definitely set the precedent for another fun and sexy series to look forward to from the highly talented Piper Rayne.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
