4.5 Stars

Riley James has spent a large portion of her life taking care of the people who she surrounds herself with. So, when she encounters a man in the middle of being jumped, she barely hesitates before stepping in and inevitably sending her life into a trajectory she is helpless to stop…

Jordan West owes Riley for saving him, but it is her honest and refreshing approach to life which has him unable to stop thinking about her. So when he needs someone to help him with a hugely important task, Riley is the only one that Jordan can picture by his side…

How to Save a Life was an emotional, intriguing, and entertaining, slow burn-y romance! Riley and Jordan come from two very different worlds. She has had to work hard for everything she has in life, and Jordan is rich, connected, and charmed… or so Riley thinks…

This was such a fabulous read, and Riley was such an entertaining and admirable character! I loved the way she pushed Jordan’s buttons and naturally worked her way past his incredibly thick emotional walls in the process. She was a hard worker who owned her own businesses and took care of the people she loves, as well as she possibly could.

Jordan was rich, brilliant, and also a complete grump. But beneath all of his outward stoicism, he had the hugest heart, and when he finally opens up to Riley, their connection is immediate. I really liked that fact that both Riley and Jordan’s lives haven’t always been easy of straightforward, but when they share those parts of themselves with each other, they provide the comfort and acceptance they didn’t know they were missing.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
